Clear privacy, in plain language.
PocketRatio keeps your medical spending private by default. Your records live on your device, and when you choose iCloud sync they travel through your own Apple account instead of our servers. PocketRatio does not use external health-data integrations.
What we collect
We only collect the data needed for the app to work.
Account data
- Your name and email, only if provided through Sign in with Apple
- Expense entries: amount, category, date, and optional notes
App settings
- Income, budget, and out-of-pocket cap settings
- App preferences such as math model and alert threshold
No health-data access
- PocketRatio does not use external health-data integrations.
- PocketRatio does not request health-data permission.
- PocketRatio does not upload health data to our servers.
- PocketRatio does not run background or recurring health sync.
How we use it
The data is used only for the app features you choose to use.
Calculation
We calculate your out-of-pocket ratio and budget progress locally from your expense entries and profile settings.
Alerts
We generate on-device summaries and local alerts.
Sync
When enabled, app data syncs across your own Apple devices via iCloud instead of our servers.
What we do not do
We keep the boundary simple and intentional.

- Sell your data
- Share expense records with advertisers
- Link to bank accounts
- Use external health-data integrations
Your controls
- Edit or delete any expense at any time
- Sign out and delete all local data from Profile settings
- Export your data as CSV whenever you want
- You can control camera access at any time in iOS Settings
